Willow Lake
This was the first hike I did with trekking poles and now I’m kicking myself for not having used them before. The hike was around 11 miles with 3000 ft of elevation (we wandered a bit).
We did the hike a few days after the September snowstorm in CO. We crossed ways with someone hiking back to camp after summiting the Challenger and Kit Karson 14ners. With the snow, she described them as being “a bit scary”.
